Honda E-Clutch expands to XL750 Transalp and CB750 Hornet
Honda debuted a new generation E-Clutch system at EICMA 2025, expanding the technology to the XL750 Transalp and CB750 Hornet. The updated system integrates Throttle-by-Wire for adaptive behavior and includes an automatic blip function during downshifts. Originally introduced on the CB650R and CBR650R, E-Clutch uses electronic actuators for half-clutch control to enable smooth starts and gear changes, distinguishing it from traditional quickshifter systems that interrupt ignition or fuel.

Honda's CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp custom builds compete at Wheels and Waves 2026
Honda presents the seventh annual hondacustoms.com competition at Wheels and Waves festival in Biarritz from 10–14 June 2026. Ten custom builds—five CB750 Hornets and five XL750 Transalps—compete in an 'On Road vs Off Road' contest. The builds will be reviewed by original designers Valerio Aiello and Giovanni Dovis from Honda's R&D centre in Rome. Online voting runs throughout summer 2026 at hondacustoms.com.
